DBA 770 Dissertation Seminar: Save Searches/Create Alerts
This course functions to emphasize social responsibility, innovation, and accountability to foster a new form of leadership focused on creating vibrant and sustainable organizations as an integral part of the dissertation and the DBA program as a whole. C
First, create a My Research Account. You do not need to use your Saint Leo email. If you forget your login or password you will have to contact ProQuest for help not the SLU library.
Use Basic or Advanced Search to complete your search. Be sure that you have the best possible search terms before you save it.
In the upper right hand corner select save search or recent searches. Then you can save your search.
Create an alert with the same steps but instead select create an alert
Be sure and complete all the steps to create the alert. Choose your search, which email, and how often you want to get an alert.
Then sit back and relax and let the research come to you!
EBSCO
First Create your My EBSCO account
Use Basic or Advanced Search
After your search, select the three little dots near the top right-hand corner of the search results. Then choose to SAVE SEARCH or CREATE ALERT.
You can view all of your saved searches and alerts by using the dashboard on the left side of your screen after you sign in to your account.
Sage
Click on Access Profile in the top right hand corner to sign in or create an account
After your basic or advanced search select Save Search near the top right
Then choose how often you would like to get an alert for that search. It will automatically email the email that you used to create the account.
Modify or delete your saved searches and alerts by selecting your profile in the top right hand corner.
Google Scholar
See the video below to learn how to connect Google Scholar to Saint Leo University Library for your searches. This system is not guaranteed. Search for articles you find using Google Scholar using the library catalog because you don't know which database it might be in.
Don't pay for articles. If we don't have access, don't forget you can request articles using Interlibrary Loan.
Save searches
First, sign in with your Google Account, gmail is required.
Then after you do a search click on create alert on the left hand side of the search screen.
