Whenever you need to find a specific author and one of his/her books, or you are interested in a subject search, etc., using the Advanced search makes sense. Simply click the "Advanced Search" link to do a more focused search by title, author, format, subject and other parameters. The sample advanced search shown at right  started with a basic search, then used Subject Headings and the Advanced search function.

This video will demonstrate an Advanced Search using OCLC Worldcat, and how to use Subject Headings that can be idenitified during the search, allowing you to search a subset of the results.
