GLO 410: Systems Thinking: Chapter 11: Solution Focus

This guide for Systems Thinking provides students with links to references from the textbook Systems Concepts in Action in addition to other resources to help develop systemic thinkers.

Solution Focus

Solution Focus is an approach to positive change within people, teams, or organizations. Focusing on solutions is fundamentally different from conventional approaches to problem solving that are based on the belief that focusing on problems (by analyzing, reacting to, and talking about them) is the best way to solve them. It sidesteps the often futile search for the causes of problems and heads straight for solutions.
