Library Archives & Special Collections: Oral History Project

Archives & Special Collections

General Information

Creating an oral history depository in order to collect and house institutional and community interviews relating to the public and personal history of the Saint Leo, Florida area was an idea whose life had quietly germinated over time. Many stories abound, if one stops to listen to the people who have lived and worked in this predominantly Catholic community; many families have lived in the area for generations, and who have had their children either attend Saint Leo University, or enter monastic life. A purposeful collection of the memories of faculty, students, alumni, staff, and community members is needed in order to preserve the cultural and institutional heritage of this institution and the larger community.

  • If you have a memory of Saint Leo and would be interested in sharing it, please contact me using the information provided in the Help and Contact section.
  • If you would like to volunteer to help with this project, which will launch later this year, please complete this form.
