A "Giant" defined

A "Giant" is  "a select group of artists who, through the test of time, have been recognized as true masters; whose works advanced their art form(s), who became a significant influence within their field(s), and who continue to influence contemporary artists today". 

 

There are many people who could be included in this list, but, alas, there is only so much time and thus a few Giants were selected; after you have learned about these artists, perhaps your interest will be piqued, and you will explore some of the others whose names were not included here.
