ACS Style

ACS (American Chemical Society) citation style is used to cite sources for research works in Chemistry.

Journal titles longer than one word are abbreviated according to the conventions set up by CASSI (Chemical Abstracts Service Source Index).

Use the CASSI Search Tool to look up or confirm publication titles and abbreviations, as well as CODEN, ISBN, or ISSN codes. The CASSI database contains a listing of publications indexed by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) since 1907.

More citation information may be found in the ACS Style Guide (3rd edition).
