1. Chopin’s The Story of an Hour and The Storm + A song  of your choice
2.       Paul’s Case and A Conversation With My Father + A song of your choice

·         The research paper should focus on a specific element of argument.

·         You can choose to focus on factual claims and/or value claims in the stories and song.

·         You can choose to focus on the use of appeals to logos and/or pathos in the stories and song.

The paper should follow the MLA format for page 1, in-text citations, and documentation.

It should have a Works Cited page also set out in MLA format.

It should also have an outline of the main points set out in numbered points: I, II, III and A, B, C etc

Each paper should include one (1) direct quote from each of the stories. (A total of 2 quotes)

These quotes from the stories should be shortened so as to take up no more than two typed pages.

Each paper should also include 2 citations from academic articles in the library databases, not from the internet. These quotations from library articles should also be shortened so as to take no more than three typed pages in your essay.

The articles from the library can deal with either of the two stories discussed in the paper.
