Ideas for Assignments
When developing assignments, think about what you want to the students to learn, rather than what they should produce.
- Chunk the assignment and review frequently
- Emphasize the process and the benefits/real world applicability
- Flip the classroom
- Connect to personal experiences of the students
- Require group work to be visible in the classroom (i.e., discussions, working papers in Office 365 with comments from contributors, etc.)
- Ask for reflective feedback on the process of creating the product for the assignment
