The final exam is a Final Case Analysis. The topic may be taken from current media reports. Alternatively, in online classes, the student may choose to compose their own case based on a personal (professional or service) experience. The minimum word count should be 800 words.
The general instruction is: Taking care to identify the moral issue(s) and the parties involved, develop a balanced moral position that offers a recommendation or a policy resolution. Please draw on any three of the following approaches to ethics: utility, duty (deontology), rights, virtue, or care. Your recommendation should follow logically from your analyses. Your essay should highlight a coherent process of reasoning that integrates the moral considerations required for each analysis.
