ENG 122: Academic Writing II (Dr. Kate Sweeney Postle): Home

Welcome to the library session for Dr. Kate Sweeney Postle's ENGLISH 122 class: Academic Writing II

1. RECOGNIZE: Information creation is a PROCESS: In your syllabus, Professor Sweeney Postle states: "We think before we write and writing changes our thinking." The same is true for research "We think before we research and research changes our thinking."

2. SEARCHING for information is a STRATEGY: With so many resources out there, it is good to have a game plan and to learn where to go. Always ask yourself: what do I need for this/these assignments? Where are the best places to go?

3. BEGIN to STRENGTHEN SKILLS regarding gathering, analyzing and synthesizing information.
