Dean, College of Arts and Sciences
Saint Leo was founded by Benedictines in the late 19th century. It began its life as an educational institution for boys with Saint Leo Military College. Over the years it became a prep school, a two-year college, a four-year college, and now a university. The Benedictine sisters ran a school for girls called Holy Name Academy. These institutions grew along with the surrounding neighborhoods, creating a dynamic and diverse community. The history of this community is reflected in this collection.
