READING ACROSS THE CURRICULUM SERIES: READING REDUX: Third Webinar: Settingthe Stage: Reading Strategies to Activate and Motivate Your Students., Thursday, January 29th at 8pm EST
The WAC Initiative is continuing its program of faculty training on Reading Across the Curriculum (RAC).
As we know, good writing and reading skills are intricately connected, and students today struggle with not only learning to write effectively but also learning to read effectively. This “aliteracy” as it is called, is the lack of solid reading habits and skills in college students today and has become more prevalent in recent years.
We continue this year’s training with “Reading Redux,” a look back at our initial webinars on the background to RAC and a look back on basic strategies.
These webinars will revisit information from last year’s original series while updating and adding information for return participants.
Whether you are new to RAC, or returning for more, please join us for the last session of the Fall term:
Setting the Stage: Reading Strategies to Activate and Motivate Your Students., on Wednesday, December 3rd, from 8-9pm EST, presented by Dr. Valerie Wright, Professor of Education.
