Open Educational Resources (OER): World Lecture Project

Open Educational Resources (OER) are freely accessible, openly licensed documents and media that are useful for teaching, learning, and assessing as well as for research purposes.

World Lecture Project: Find academic videos on any topic from all over the world!  Contains 38056 videos from 203 countries in 12 languages. World Lecture Project is the central platform for delivering academic videos from faculties worldwide. You can find videos according to various criteria: theme, faculty, country, language, institution and others.

We do not only collect and embed videos provided by huge video-platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, but we also link to videos on untiversity websites and other institutions from everywhere. Thus you can search and access many sources from the (wlp) platform to find the videos of your interest.

It is our aim to provide video-lectures, -experiments, -courses, MOOC’s in every spoken language and so we invite you to add videos or to edit the video descriptions. Universities, organizations or institutions with video collections may contact us and we can create an interface to migrate their videos metadata.

Themed sites

On themed sites we have a look at what leading scientists from different countries and faculties have to say about actual political themes. New discoveries and tendencies in science and humanities are being introduced and discussed in the light of ongoing political controversies, opposing opinions are displayed, related background-material linked.

Our partner GlobalNet21 is providing Webinars related to the themes displayed on (wlp) and we invite other libraries to link their content, organizations and scholars to participate with their expertise and media to report about the themes.
