SOC 201: Globalization: Home

Resources for Global Studies majors.

Introduction

This course provides an overview of the new questions raised by the process of globalization in our social, economic, political, and cultural life. It places an emphasis on the search for social justice and encourages students to think critically about the causes and consequences of globalization as they prepare to become leaders of the 21st century.

Organizations

Global Studies Association
A scholarly association which aims to understand and confront issues that arise from globalization.
Global Studies Knowledge Community
Founded in 2008, this organization provides a forum to meet others in the field of Global Studies, share ideas, and publish research.

A radio publication based in Washington D.C. which offers independent international reporting.

A New York city based magazine which offers analysis on finance and business.
